It all started with an idea…

How can we involve children in a community project here at the Trails Center and create an impetus for outdoor activity? The answer? Gnomes, gnomes and more gnomes! Talented local carpenters joined forces with the Rangeley Lakes Regional School and the Gnome Home Roam was born! Over 20 gnomes (and counting) created by RLRS students reside amongst the trails in homes crafted by Marty V and his fellow carpenters. Grab a gnome roam map at the yurt, strap on your skiis and snowshoes, and let the fun begin!
